Carer Benefits
Our Carer Benefits

At Kindercare and as part of the National Fostering Group we provide all of our foster carers with a number of benefits to help them, their family and the children and young people in their care.

Specialist home insurance

We appreciate that foster carers may find it difficult to get suitable home insurance when caring for a child or young person. With this in mind we have partnered with Bollington Insurance to allow our carers to get the home insurance policy that fits their needs and at a market-comparable cost.

You can find more information about this policy here

Discounts on The Hub

All of our foster carers can receive exclusive discounts and cashback from more than 800 high street retailers and services. All of our discounts are provided on our hub and all new carers receive a welcome email within a month of their approval.

Free membership of The Fostering Network

All our carers receive free membership to The Fostering Network. This membership enables our foster carers to access free advice as well as even more discounts on holidays, family days out, mortgages and much more. Some of the highlights of this membership include discounts on Alton Towers and Haven Holidays.

Bridging retainer payments

During your fostering journey there maybe gaps between placements, therefore we have introduced a weekly bridging retainer payment for a maximum of 6 weeks in a rolling 12 month period and a payment at the start of your next placement. There are qualifying criteria and decisions on eligibility are at the discretion of your registered manager.

Other benefits include:

Free access to Britannica School and ImageQuest – an online platform which provides quality educational resources for your foster child or young person and birth children too.

Recommend us Bonus – you can receive £1500 for every approved carer that you recommend to us.

Discounted family visits to the cinema – Our foster carers can receive up to 40% off tickets to the cinema with the Cinema Society Club

Foster Carer ID – this provides you with the ID you need that will make your life as a foster carer a lot smoother, such as using this when making appointments for your foster child or young person, or collecting prescriptions for example.

These are a selection of the benefits that we have to offer with many more being added.
