Kindercare is a small independent fostering agency based in Belfast. Offering the highest levels of care to children being fostered.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative service to the team to ensure an effective and efficient service. You will be required to provide a high-quality service to all internal and external stakeholders, including being the first point of contact for telephone calls, meeting and greeting visitors to the Office and ordering, receiving and checking deliveries and post as well as other administrative duties.

You should be able to deal with queries effectively and confidentially. You will be in your comfort zone supporting the team and managers with minute taking, projects and research when required.

The administrator will be joining a supportive and caring team who put a relentless focus on the outcomes of the children and young people in our care. This will include an oversight of the Fostering Panel, annual reviews of foster carers and assisting with database and file management.

Who we are looking for:

You will have experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will need an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports.  It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure with a flexible working attitude. Teamwork is important as well as being able to work on your own initiative. It will be useful to have experience of dealing with Panel administration which would include minute taking.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.

•Experience within a busy administrative role

•Willingness to learn and happy to undertake professional training where necessary

•Organised with the ability to manage numerous tasks & deadlines

•An awareness of how key social media platforms work and operate within a business setting (desirable)
